Beyond Hunger: Rewriting the Emotional Eating Script

Eating very often isn't about hunger or the joy of food.

It can be about boredom, stress, or sadness. If you've ever reached for snacks after a rough day or eaten past the point where you know you're full, you know what I mean. It's not about willpower; it's about patterns, and that's precisely why hypnotherapy can help.

Hypnotherapy works by tapping into your subconscious- the part where patterns live.

You might consciously want to eat better or stop reaching for food when you're not hungry, but if your subconscious sees food as an escape, you’ll keep repeating the cycle. Hypnotherapy helps you rewire that.

During a session, I guide you into a deeply relaxed state. You're still in control, but your mind is open to suggestion. I can help you detach food from emotions and replace that urge with healthier coping strategies.

I like to call them pattern interrupts and have a list that I've compiled with the help of my clients. It's not magic, but for many people, it's a powerful tool that gets to the root of the behavior rather than just treating the symptom... hello, Ozempic!

Emotional eating is deeply personal, and hypnotherapy can meet it at that level with compassion, calm, and real change.

I've successfully helped many people and have some glowing reviews. We can do your sessions online via Zoom or WhatsApp video, or if you're local to Edinburgh, visit me in my cosy Tonic cabin (just outside Edinburgh in Ratho!

Be the change you want and try hypnotherapy.
