My ‘Hypno’therapist Ghosted Me – Vogue Williams is ready to give up the vapes

“My Therapist Ghosted Me” podcast featuring Headtonic Hypnotherapy - Episode Link

I spotted an opportunity to promote hypnotherapy whilst helping a celebrity and I took it!

To explain further, I listen to a fair amount of podcasts, many of which are related to therapy and business, so as light relief I always looked forward to tuning into My Therapist Ghosted Me with Joanne McNally and Vogue Williams.👻

In one episode, Vogue expressed her frustration with her vaping habit, especially since she maintained a healthy lifestyle in other areas. She stated that she was eager to quit because her vaping was becoming more frequent. Additionally, she mentioned that she might consider trying hypnotherapy to help her stop.

If you're a fan of podcasts, you may feel like you know the hosts, especially in the case of these two. They speak candidly about their lives, making each episode an enjoyable experience.

Since I follow Vogue on Instagram, I immediately sent her a direct message with a voice note. In it, I suggested that I would be happy to provide her with a hypo session. If she enjoyed the experience, she could discuss it on her show and tag my Headtonic Instagram page.

I hoped she would try it since she often joked about her willingness to collaborate!

It was worth a shot. Vogue quickly replied, saying she was interested, and over the next few weeks, we worked to find a suitable time and day.

The online session started great; I could see she was relaxed. However, halfway through, there was a noise and a slight commotion on her end. Suddenly, a very cute grin appeared close to the screen. One of her children had managed to sneak in, clearly curious about what was happening and eager to hear the voice of the person their mum was talking to!

We finished her session, but I felt that the trance had been disrupted, which left me concerned that it might not be a success. Naturally, I didn’t want to let her know that I felt disheartened. However, the hypnosis had worked; the messages had made an impact.

A week later, I picked up my phone and noticed that I had gained a whole new group of followers on my headtonic_hypnotherapy account. It took me a moment to realise that Vogue might have mentioned me on their podcast. Since the algorithm hadn’t been working in my favour recently, the sudden surge in followers had to be due to something significant.

As soon as I could, I listened to the current episode and squealed with delight when she mentioned her session, noting that it had been a great success. 🙌

Since then, I have received numerous inquiries and bookings; Vogue certainly has a strong, loyal following, particularly in Ireland. 🇮🇪

I’m excited to share that I received a mention from Vogue, not just on their excellent podcast, but also to a celebrity friend of hers who then booked me. I signed an NDA, so I can't reveal who it is, but I am truly grateful for the opportunity.

I owe my thanks to my "Nothing to lose" mindset, which encouraged me to reach out. It’s amazing how small gestures can lead to significant changes in so many ways. 🌿
